DESIRE:
A German based company in the heart of Thailand will always have to be on the look out for cross cultural challenges. The MD of Thailand wanted to ensure he can successfully bring the best of the two unique cultures together by working with his team to open up communication and develop a long term sustainable strategic direction.
SOLUTION:
Tirian worked with the Beiersdorf Thailand Executive Team and their managers over a period of 2 years. After one-on-one meetings in Bangkok to assess team progress and identify current needs – Tirian ventured out with the team to Nepal for a seminar and an adventure challenge. The Himalayan mountain range was an ideal backdrop for discussing the need for the successful team to continue to reach stretch targets and reduce factory costs while maintaining high standards.
By unlocking the team’s creative problem solving skills Tirian was able to help the group look at different angles to problems and try to help them find new and better solutions. The unique power of this program was in combining the team’s talents and maximising individual strengths to come up with extraordinary results.
After discussing the important concepts of creativity, Tirian took the group on a trek which required creative problem solving approaches. The Teamography challenge helped teams to assess their status and look at the maps they use to see where they have been, where they want to go, and how to get there.
